Cozy Red Scarf

Sweater / Jeans / Scarf (Similar) / Boots (Similar) / Tortoise Bracelet

I wore this outfit on my plane back to Dallas last weekend and let me tell you, do not wear this sweater on a plane!! I absolutely love it and it's perfect for cold weather, but when your trapped on an already warm plane for 3 hours, not so much! I was very warm the whole way back! However, I love this really comfy winter outfit.  Throw on a jacket if it's really cold and you're ready to go.

Since it's finally gotten cold in Dallas, I've been wearing these Stuart Weitzman boots non-stop.  I purchased these boots last winter (actually found them in a Stuart Weitzman outlet store!), and wore them so much last year, so I was excited to get to bring them back into my wardrobe again.  Let me tell you-- these shoes are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn.  They are so easy to throw on as you run out the door because they just slip on and I've never had a problem no matter how long I wear them.  So, while they are more expensive than other boots, I have to say they are worth it!

6 Camera Bags

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

You may be able to tell from so many of my outfits how much I love my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB bag.  It's the best for any occasion where I'm bringing my big DSLR camera along because it fits it perfectly with room to spare.  It's hard to find a small bag that's easy to bring around that can store my camera.  Back when I went to Italy two summers ago, I brought my big long champ tote around everywhere because it was one of the only things I had that could fit my camera.  I wish I had discovered these mini bags earlier because they are seriously the best!!

Best of Black Friday

I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving yesterday! Mine was full of lots of great food, some ping pong tournaments, and maybe a mannequin challenge or two.  I've been looking forward to today not only for Black Friday but also because Gilmore Girls A Year in The Life comes out today on Netflix!!! Is anyone else watching? I'm so excited!

But I have been looking forward to Black Friday this year to get all of my holiday shopping done for my family and friends! You can't really go anywhere (in store or online!) and not find a sale.  It makes holiday shopping really fun because you can score great deals to either save money or get your loved ones something extra while staying on budget.  But, if you're not looking to get any gifts just yet, today is a great time to buy yourself something special too!

Here are my favorite deals from this year's sale selection!

Thanksgiving Bites

Can you believe we have just a little over a week until Thanksgiving? Time is surely flying.  The warm weather in Texas would you have you fooled that it might not actually be November.  I can't wait to fly home next Tuesday for the first time in three months!

You probably have noticed that my posts have been a little sparse since the end of September.  I can't even begin to describe how busy this semester has been for me.  I would have never expected it and honestly can't believe life hasn't knocked me over yet.  Between serving as the communications director for both Relay for Life and Dance Marathon at my school, taking harder classes than I expected, and preparing to recruit a new member class in my sorority in January,  I haven't had many moments to sit down and relax, let alone write a blog post!

I've been trying my best to keep up with everything, but sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day! I apologize if you've missed my regular posts and I hope to get back on a regular schedule as soon as possible!

Enough with that lengthy intro to the post, let's talk Thanksgiving recipes!!

I'm always a fan of cooking and especially on Thanksgiving.  This year I feel like thanksgiving could not come at a better time.  It's important to remember everything we are thankful for and allow ourselves to be aware that others may not have the privilege of enjoying some of these things.

Here are some Thanksgiving themed recipes that have caught my eye this year:

Junior Year Room Tour

Today I'm finally sharing photos of my room at school this year! This is the first year that I've been able to move off campus and I've loved having my own room in an apartment.  I am lucky to live with an amazing friend again this year.

When I was thinking about how I wanted this room to look, I decided to highlight a lot of the bright colors I already had with my books and accessories.  So some of the only colorful pieces I added were the rug and pillows.

I love how my room turned out this year.  It's so comfortable and easy for me to be productive.  Considering how busy this year has been, I'm so happy I have a space to sit down and get work done easily.

If you want to know where anything is from that isn't linked below, shoot me a message or leave a comment below and I'll get back to you!

Study Tips

This year has been really busy for me, mostly because of how much work I've had.  It seems that almost all of my classes have exams within the same week, which is never convenient, but that's what happens in college.  In high school, exams were nicely spaced out because teachers could work with each other to make sure your work load never exceeded its limit.

As I get older, classes require more work and I seem to have less time to devote to it.  So, I've developed some very efficient study methods, that I want to share with anyone else struggling through exam season!

Write everything out three times. Three is the magic number.  The brain seems to remember things so much more clearly when they are repeated three times.  This, and the fact that writing things down helps you remember things, makes this a no-fail method to learning any key words you may be studying for a test.  I like to take a blank sheet of paper and my note cards and write each buzzword down three times.  It sounds excessive, but it really helps in the long run.

Make notecards in advance. Making notecards a few days, or even weeks, before your test can help save time when you actually get down to the wire. Being able to devote time to learning the phrases and concepts instead of making the cards can be a huge help.

Go to the Library. As much as I'd like to convince myself otherwise, I do my best studying when I'm sitting in my favorite room in the library.  Forcing myself into a space that's quiet and allows for no distractions is important when I know I'm going to be studying for multiple hours.
