What's On My Wishlist

Today I thought it would be fun to share some things that are on my current wishlist. The holiday season is in full swing so you may be still on the hunt for the perfect gift for someone! This is a fun wishlist with stuff at many different price points!

I am so excited to head home for Christmas on Friday! It has felt weird not being at home while my brother is home from college (he came home last week!), so I am very excited to get back.

5 Cyber Monday Deals That Are Too Good To Pass Up

These deals are too good to pass up and will surely have you peering over your sunglasses because they might almost be too good to be true!

1. I love these tan suede boots! I have them in another color, but they are currently 40% off + an additional 25% off with the code TAKE25? Damn.

2. My go-to winter coat is 50% off! Plus everything else on the website! Take a look at that sale section though... (peep my fave t-shirt and these snakeskin shoes!)

3. My favorite winter scarf is 25% when you spent $20 more (these earrings will help ya get there!). This scarf is the best during the winter because it's so warm but pretty compact so it fits easily in any bag (big or small) when I'm not using it.

4. Just about everything here is 25% off and there's a lot of good deals hidden throughout the site. I love these boots and this bag!

5. Did someone say Christmas PJs? 40% off! Silver mittens? 40% off! Puffer jacket? 40% off (only $16.50!!!)

Bonus: here's what I bought this Black Friday/Cyber Monday! These deals weren't anything jaw dropping, but thought it would be fun to share!

Fall Sweaters Under $100

Sweater weather is returning and I can't wait!!!! Fall is truly my favorite season because I get to pull out one of my favorite parts of my closet: sweaters!

One of my favorite spots to shop for sweaters is actually H&M! They have great quality sweaters and you can't beat the prices. Most of the sweaters in this post are under $50 from H&M.

My other favorite place to shop for Fall clothes, in general, is Madewell. Especially this year, I have loved everything Madewell has been releasing.

One of my favorite sweaters from this post is the cream turtle neck. It looks so comfy and warm.

Long time no outfit post! Do you mind when outfit photos are shot on an iPhone like these or do you prefer outfit posts that are shot on a camera?

Summer Accessories

Although Summer is almost over (major sad face), I thought I'd share some of my favorite accessories and random items for the warm season. I really thought I was used to the heat after spending four years in Texas, but I have to say it feels so much hotter when you can't escape the heat in an air-conditioned car. It's been just a little above 90 degrees recently, but my fifteen-minute walk to work has definitely made me miss the days where I could escape the heat in a car.

NYC Bedroom Sneak Peak

Hey guys!! I am SO excited to share a little bit of my new bedroom in New York! I posted this photo on my insta story earlier and I got so many questions about where things were from I thought I'd write up a quick post so that everything can be found in one place!

I am so excited to do a full room tour soon (although this shot is almost the full room hahaha). It was fun to design this room because I had to get so creative storage. Since my room is pretty small and I don't have room for any sort of dresser, I decided to utilize the vertical space with these shelves and I am so happy I did!

5 Things I'm Loving This Week

1. Since my commute to work is pretty long, I decided to try listening to an audiobook to pass the time. I downloaded Crazy Rich Asians and fell in love with the book and listening to something on tape!! The book went by so fast and I just downloaded the sequel to listen to next! Have you listened to audiobooks before??

NYC Apartment Bedroom Inspiration

In less than a month I am moving into my first apartment in New York!!!! I am SO excited and can hardly wait to finally live in the city. I've commuted in from New Jersey for the past three summers and I'm definitely ready to appreciate living so close to everything. My commute to work right now is about an hour and a half each way. I don't know what I'm going to do when I get those three hours a day back!! (Hopefully blog a lot more!)

London 4 Day Itinerary

Hi everyone! I am finally starting to post a little bit about my trip to Europe! First up is how we spent our 4 days in London! I wrote this on the train to Paris when everything was very fresh in my mind. I didn't do this after Paris or Amsterdam (totally wish I had...) so the format for those cities will end up being slightly different. I'll probably highlight just my favorite things.

I thought this would be helpful though in case any of you are thinking of traveling to London soon!

Day One:

Our flight got in at about 7am and we took the underground to our Airbnb about an hour away. I was surprised by how easy it was to take the underground from the airport. With large suitcases, it was easy to navigate and the most inexpensive option for transportation from the airport. Something to keep in mind is that you’ll probably encounter some sort of stairs, most likely only about 20 steps or so, at the tube station you get off at.

Our Airbnb was located in Holborn, at Russel Square. The area was quiet but convenient to get to other areas of London. It did take about 15-20 minutes to get to most places.

Once we got situated, we took the tube over to Borough Market to get something to eat. Walking around and looking at the market was fun and the stalls offered good options. We decided to get some fish and chips and it was delicious.

From there, we walked across Tower Bridge and over to the Tower of London. I’m glad we didn’t have really any set plans on our first afternoon so that we could leisurely explore some of the city and try our bests to fight off jet lag.

However, I did make a reservation in advance at Bob Bob Ricard for dinner. You might be familiar with this restaurant because of their “Press for Champagne” buttons at every table! It was so cute and requesting a glass of champagne with the press of a button was very fun.

Day Two:

We got out around 11am and went over to Harrods before a reservation for tea at Sketch later in the afternoon. We ended up wandering around Harrods for a full two hours and I’m so glad we didn’t eat anything before getting there because the food hall is amazing!! There’s something for everyone and the food is delicious.

Once we made our way out of Harrods, it was time for our tea at Sketch. You also probably have seen Sketch’s pink tea room or bizarre egg bathroom stalls on Instagram. It’s definitely a photo-worthy spot, but everyone I was traveling with agreed that the tea was subpar.  The tea itself is pretty expensive and the food was just alright. Instead, try heading to the bar for a drink and popping into the bathroom.

After tea, we were so full and needed a walk. We decided to walk through Mayfair to Kensington Palace and then headed back to our Airbnb to rest before dinner. We went to a late reservation at Hakkasan, which we all agreed was probably not worth it.

Day Three:

We unintentionally stayed out pretty late the night before and only got out of the house around 2pm. Since we were all pretty hungry, we started our day with Lunch at Dishoom. There are a few locations, but we decided to head to Kensington. The food was really great and since most of us had never tried Indian food before we decided to split a few things so that we could try as much as possible. I loved the Chicken Ruby and Chicken Tikka Masala.

The location perfectly led us to walk over to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. The weather was beautiful. It’s crazy how different the city feels in the rain or overcast versus the sunshine! I then made my friends walk over to 23 Egerton Terrace, the house from the parent trap! I loved seeing it in person.

We had dinner that night at La Bodega Negra, which is a Mexican restaurant behind what appears to be a sex shop. Ha! The neon signs at the storefront may be misleading, but the restaurant is cozy and the food was pretty good. It was definitely a fun place to eat before going out.

At our waiter’s recommendation, we went out in Shoreditch. It was great because there’s a ton of bars and clubs all right next to each other so you can try a bunch of different spots easily to find the right place for your group. We ended up at Barrio, which was where we spent most of our night. I would recommend checking it out!

As the bar was closing at 2am, we walked to Duck and Waffle, a restaurant/bar that’s open 24/7 on top of a building. It’s a pretty nice restaurant so it’s wild to think it’s open all the time. I had to order the duck and waffle and it did not disappoint.

Day Four:

Our reservation for breakfast was at 10:15, which we definitely we’re regretting after our late night. We eventually made it over to Ivy Chelsea Garden, which was just beautiful. It’s completely covered in flowers and very picturesque. I ordered the ham and cheese omelet and it was aaaaamaazing. Best omelet I think I have ever had!

After we walked through Chelsea over to Peggy Porschen Cakes, another picture worth spot. I’m glad we walked there because we passed through a lot of cute stores on the way.

It was our last day so we had to make sure to fit in a trip to the London Eye. When you pay for your ticket you receive a time that your ticket will be valid for entry. We had to wait about an hour before we could get in line, so we went to a cafĂ© nearby. When we did get in line it moved pretty quickly. The views are cool and definitely worth seeing. The ticket is valid through the end of the night, so if you don’t want to wait around you could always go somewhere else and come back much later.

I really wanted to get a sort of traditional Sunday roast while in London. From my research, it seemed like The Orange was a good option. This was definitely the cutest restaurant we went to. There’s a pub downstairs where a few people were having drinks, but we sat upstairs for dinner. All of the windows were open and the neighborhood was pretty quiet so the restaurant has a very quaint feel. The roasts were amazing and it was nice to have a hearty meal. The green beans were particularly delicious.

Stay tuned for more about my trip in my next posts! I can't wait to share more of what we did in other cities!

Europe Instagram Roundup

I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to travel for a bit after graduation before starting my job! I haven't had the chance to write up a full post about everything we did while in London, Amsterdam, and Paris but I plan to very soon!

I Graduated College!

On Saturday, I graduated from Southern Methodist University! It was an exciting weekend and I don't know if it has hit me yet that I am finished. I'm planning on writing a post reflecting on my four years in Dallas, but for now, I wanted to share what I was planning on wearing for the ceremony.

I say planning because I ended up ripping the sleeve of this dress during photos while throwing my cap in the air! Off the shoulder dresses are cute, but arm movement is limited haha.

Europe Packing List

photo via

A few days after graduation some of my friends and I are headed to Europe for a little over a week. I am so excited to head back to London and Paris and explore Amsterdam for the first time! It'll be a fun week to explore, learn and celebrate graduation.

It's been hard to think about what I'm going to pack for the trip because I've been putting all my focus on finals, packing up, and graduation, but I did order a few things online last week to kick off my packing.

I am planning on bringing a lot of layers because I know the weather in the places I'll be traveling to can be pretty mild this time of year and may call for a light jacket most days.

Here are some of the pieces that have been inspiring the outfits I'm picking out as I pack:

Pink Jacket

The first thing I have put in my suitcase for my trip to Europe in a few weeks was this jacket. I get so much wear out of it and I'm so happy I bought it from Zara last summer. I don't think it's available anymore, but I found a pretty similar one online.

I love these jeans (also from Zara!) and I am so on board with the emphasis on the side hem that is trending in denim right now. Zara has so many options for jeans like this, it was hard to walk away from the store without another pair. I also love these with a green side stripe!

May Wishlist

To celebrate the beginning of May, I am sharing my current wishlist! I finally feel like spring is in full swing in stores and the colorful warm weather clothes are screaming my name. To be honest, it's been warm in Dallas for a while now, but the rest of the world is finally catching up on the beautiful weather.

May 7, 2018

Casual Gingham

This has been my go-to outfit recently. If I'm going to class or running to grab a meal quickly this is what I'll throw on. I will admit, I normally hate shorts. Am I the only one? I've been trying to add a few more pairs to my wardrobe, but I am definitely picky about the shorts I like. They are so practical though and these are just too fun.

Wrapped Up

I wore this dress for a senior brunch for my sorority and it was the perfect dress for the occasion. I am so glad I stumbled upon it while looking at Bloomingdales, because it has been great for a lot of events this spring. With graduation coming up, I will have plenty of opportunities to wear it.

Play Nice

I love this play nice t-shirt that was featured in one of my posts last week (Spring Wishlist). I thought it was cute paired with this white denim skirt. Is it too soon to be wearing an all-white outfit? I never know with those sorts of rules especially since it is already so warm in Dallas.

Spring Wishlist

I love spring fashion!! It's just so fun to get a little more creative with my outfits when the weather gets warmer. These pieces all make me really excited about possible outfit combinations to wear while hanging outside.

Personalized Vitamins with Care/of!

We all use our bodies differently, have different skin care regimens, use different hair products and consume different foods. Our vitamin intake should be as personalized as everything else and care/of is making it easier to do that.

I was so excited when care/of reached out to me about trying out a month of vitamins. For most of my life, I haven't taken any sort of vitamins and I know that is probably not the best thing I could be doing, but thinking about which vitamins to take is a little daunting.

24 Graduation Dresses

Graduation season is right around the corner! That's so crazy to say because this year, I am graduating from college!! I really can't believe how fast my time in college has gone; it's completely unreal that I will be leaving after this year.

While looking around for dresses to wear I came across a ton of styles that I thought would be really cute. At my school, we aren't required to wear white dresses, but it is a little more traditional to do so. I haven't decided whether I'm going to go for a white dress or something with more color, but I will be keeping in mind that my cap and gown are royal blue, so maybe this purple dress isn't going to be the best option!

Spring Clothing Haul

I get so excited when I can finally start breaking out my favorite spring clothes and even more excited when all of my favorite stores start bringing out new pieces for the season.

I placed an order on Forever 21 recently and was surprised by how much I loved everything I ordered. All of the items I got were reasonably priced and great quality and I think I will be getting a lot of wear out of everything.

Heart Eyes

Last night I got back to school after spending a week in the Cayman Islands. It was so nice to spend some time in the sun and get to read a few books. While on the plane, I edited some pictures I took in one of my favorite new dresses.

This heart print is too cute and I love how affordable it is. It's such an easy dress to slip on especially after a day out in the sun!

Tan Suede Jacket

Yay! A new outfit post! It's been so long since I actually shot outfit photos, I was so excited to finally get these pictures. This jacket has been on constant repeat in my closet ever since I got it for my birthday. I love it for outfits like this to break up the monotonous black.

Hello! Remember Me?

It's been awhile since I sat down to write a real blog post. I've only posted eleven times in 2018 and I hate that. At the same time though, it's hard to feel guilty because I know I'm spending my time in ways that I need to. I'm applying for jobs, working on school, spending time with my friends and simply enjoying the last few months of my time as a student.
