Outlet Shopping

January 23, 2014

This past sunday my mom and I went to the outlets at Woodbury Commons, one of our favorite places to go to get a good bargain.  If you've never been there and live close by, I definitely recommend going.  The stores range from Vineyard Vines, J.Crew, Polo, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Lulu Lemon, Longchamp, etc.  Pretty much anything you can think of, they have! Love it!

I wanted to go because I wanted to check out the selection of boots at the Tory Burch outlet.  I've been obsessed with their boots forever but I just couldn't justify the price.  My nana gave my a giftcard for my christmas and another for my birthday, which I was very thankful for, and decided boots would be the perfect thing to get using both gift cards.  I know my Nana doesn't love giving gift cards because they're a little impersonal, so I always try to get something substantial with her gift cards so that I can show her what i've gotten!

The Tory Burch outlet had about 15 pairs of boots to choose from (yay!) and I found the pair I've been dreaming of for awhile.  The price at the outlet for the boots was $299, and considering the original price tag read $495, I'd say it was a great deal.

Kate Spade had some great deals on cosmetics bags and jewelry too! I ended up buying a large cosmetics bag that I'm really excited to use on my next traveling endeavor! It's perfect for makeup or even jewelry! I also purchased bow earrings and a bow ring! I had to stop myself from getting the matching bangle and necklace, too! I've been lusting over the bow jewelry from Kate Spade for a long time so I'm happy I found these items, for a great price!

Last, my DEAL OF THE DAY, at J.Crew! I found the striped excursion vest, in my size, for just $34. I know, $34.  I thought I heard the woman wrong when she told me the price.  It's not even a factory made vest, it was made for the regular store, AND ITS STILL ON SALE AT THE REGULAR STORE! I have no idea why it was there, but I'm very happy I found it!!

Go find an outlet mall near you, or check out Woodbury Commons for some amazing deals!

Happy Shopping,

Snow day

January 21, 2014

via I'm obsessed with this boot/sock pairing!

via this is too cute
This morning I woke up and knew that it had to be later than 6:40, so my initial reaction was to freak out.  I grabbed my phone to check the time only to see a text from my friends saying there was no school today and my heart rate returned to normal.  Phew.

Snow days are my favorite.  I love when the snow is fresh and everything is just so white.  The next couple days where the snow is just there, and dirty, are my least favorite.

I'm honestly a little tempted to knock on my 8 year old neighbors door and ask if she wants to build a snowman with me because I love snow days so much.

If you live in the north east, how are you spending this snowy day?

If it's not snowing near you, then have a marvelous tuesday!

Day in The City

January 18, 2014

Last weekend I met up with my cousins in my favorite city to catch up before we all headed back to school.  We even stopped in to see my mom's cousin's twin babies, who are just the cutest ever! We ended our day in Soho at Hundred Acres, my favorite restaurant.  (The jalapeño grits is incredible).

My brother took some photos for me before we left, which was very nice (thank you Will).  I may have had to tell him I'd do his chores for the rest of the week but it's worth it, right?

Also, have you noticed dashofserendipityblog has been revamped? I'm loving it!!

Outfit in London + Photos!

January 1, 2014

Sweater // Pants // Boots // Bag via Burberry // Necklace

My family and I had an amazing time on our trip to London.  It was such a wonderful experience.  We stayed in Notting Hill in a cute little "flat" that we rented through one fine stay! I'd recommend this service to anyone who is thinking of going to London, Paris, LA, or NYC anytime soon!

Actually a candid picture my brother took while messing around in front of Kensington Palace! Hello William and Kate! :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season with their family and friends!! I can't believe december is already over! Bring on 2014! :)
