Something Yellow

Top / Jeans (only $20!) / Shoes / Sunglasses / Earrings

Yellow is my absolute favorite color to wear.  It's actually pretty hard to find things to wear that are yellow, so I know when I do find something in the color I have to get it.  Last semester I wore a yellow dress to my formal that I loved.  This top for me is the perfect way to incorporate the color into my daily life a little more. I also love that I got to pair this top with these blue earrings! Lowkey repping my sorority, Tri Delta, but I also just love the colors together.

My sweet little Ellie girl couldn't resist hopping in a picture at the end.  She's too cute and getting so big!

Ruffle Neckline Dress

I've been sitting on these photos for what has seemed like weeks, but haven't had the time to write a post to accompany them until now! I was honestly planning on just not posting anything today on the blog again, but got a second wind last night at around 11pm, when I probably should've been heading to bed, and decided to get this post done!

My internship is incredible and I truly love it so much, but it's definitely taken a toll on the amount of effort I am able to put into the blog. Though, while I haven't been posting too consistently lately, there's been a lot going on behind the scenes! Some things are happening that I am really excited for! I can't wait to share what I've been working on with you soon!

Now on to talking a little about this dress! If you head over to the link for it, you'll notice that there's actually extra "sleeves" (not really sure if they count as sleeves) to give this dress an added dimension and cold shoulder look.  To be honest, I was not a fan of how that aspect of the dress looked on me, so I actually just tucked them in! I could totally get them removed by a tailor, but for now this is working just fine! Otherwise, this dress in one of my favorites because it's not only blue and white (my favorite color combo to wear), but the neckline is just gorgeous! I love the look of the crossover ruffle because it's so elegant and girly.

All In The Accessories

Skirt / Top / Scarf (old) / Bag / Shoes

My hair is up today! That's something you don't see everyday over here on Dash of Serendipity.  Honestly, I hate having my hair up, especially for photos.  But, this outfit felt like it needed something a little different so I decided to mix it up!

This outfit is great because the top and skirt are so simple that they can easily be accessorized with different bright pieces, like this cute Lilly Pulitzer scarf.  I can imagine myself wearing this with bright earrings, or even bright shoes!

If you're looking for a similar scarf, I'd try searching on eBay or poshmark for a Lilly Pulitzer Square silk scarf! This one was purchased at the warehouse sale a few years ago, but I'm confident you would be able to track it down somewhere online.

An Inexpensive Off the Shoulder Top

How adorable is this off the shoulder top? I can't believe it's just $16!! Now it's from SheIn, which is a website I normally run far away from, but sometimes I do find myself looking through the website.  Most times though I convince myself not to purchase anything because I have not liked anything I've ever purchased from the website. Either the item did not fit at all (usually weirdly proportioned) or the quality was terrible.

I don't know what made me want to take the chance and order this top, but I'm so glad I did! It runs a little big so I'd recommend going a size down.  I wish I had because I feel like this top is a little too roomy towards the bottom on me.

If you like the pom pom bracelets I'm wearing here, make sure you following me on Instagram for more info coming later this week on how you could win your own pom pom bracelets!!

Blue Embroidery

If I haven't already convinced you that Zara might just be the greatest store ever from my last few outfits (remember this all white ensemble from earlier this week and this adorable embroidered off the shoulder top?).  My friends and I all have the problem of not being able to leave Zara empty handed.

I brought these two pieces into the dressing room not thinking I would ever wear them together.  But because this skirt was the only bottom that I brought in with me, I decided to try it on with the top to move a little faster in the dressing room.  To my surprise, this outfit worked perfectly!

June Playlist

Yesterday I started my summer internship in New York! I'm so excited but definitely a little nervous too.  Starting something new is always daunting, but I keep reminding myself that it's completely normal to be nervous.  I'm so excited for the opportunity I have this summer, to be working for an amazing company that I truly admire, that it honestly hasn't felt real yet.

Last summer I spent far too many hours on the train commuting from New Jersey and back each day.  I pretty much listened to the same playlist everyday the entire summer, which ended up being so comforting to listen to the same songs as I started and ended my days.

I'm truly loving the playlist I put together this month and can totally see it becoming my go-to commuting playlist this year. I've discovered Khalid recently and I can't stop listening to 8TEEN. It's such a good song!

Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic 2017

Top / Shorts / Sunglasses / Earrings / Bag / Scarf / Shoes (old: Steve Madden)

I had so much fun this past Saturday at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park, just across the river from NYC. I have been wanting to go to the polo classic for the past few years, but didn't get around to getting tickets until this year. It was so much fun, even more fun that I would've expected. It was such a great opportunity to see some amazing outfits.  Everyone was extremely well dressed, which made it a lot of fun to people watch.
