Hello! Remember Me?

via

It's been awhile since I sat down to write a real blog post. I've only posted eleven times in 2018 and I hate that. At the same time though, it's hard to feel guilty because I know I'm spending my time in ways that I need to. I'm applying for jobs, working on school, spending time with my friends and simply enjoying the last few months of my time as a student.

I feel like my friends and I have all been on the same page this semester; we want to take advantage of every moment we get to spend in Dallas because most of us have plans of leaving after graduation in May. We've been challenging ourselves to try new restaurants instead of going to the same ones over and over and doing things around the city we normally wouldn't. I have loved it and I know I'll miss these moments in a few months. (Trying to not get too sappy here just yet...)

I've also been applying for jobs, kind of? I've started applying here and there, but I'm excited to see what the future has in store for me because as of right now I truly don't know. It's exciting.

School this semester has been fairly normal. I finished my major last semester (advertising) so all my classes are really just to fulfill credits to graduate. I'm definitely outside of my comfort zone with classes like Educational Psychology, Biology and Business Journalism, but I am really loving it! I really appreciate the new perspective I am getting from these classes.

In Educational Psychology I'm learning a lot about teaching styles, which I think will make me a better leader. In Business Journalism I am being exposed to things like Balance Sheets and Income Statements, which is sooo not my area of expertise. Biology is teaching me a lot about the human body and genetics, which honestly seems like something I should just be aware of.

So, I apologize that there haven't been a lot of posts up recently, but at the same time, I'm not that sorry. I do plan on getting some more posts up soon because of course I love doing this but be patient with me!

For now, I wanted to share some of my favorite things at the moment!

  1. I got the Drybar hairdryer back in January for my birthday and I have been loving it! I have been challenging myself to dry my hair with a brush and try to give myself somewhat of an actual blow out and I think I'm starting to get a little better at it.
  2. If you haven't watched When We First Met on Netflix yet, please watch it!! The movie is so cute. It's a rom-com and I just love those.
  3. I've been a member at Equinox, the gym, since August, but I've started going more frequently recently and I absolutely love it. The classes are challenging but I feel myself getting stronger and it's really rewarding.

  1. I've learned that overseas education is what motivates us to be more motivated.
