Soft Joie Dress

Dress / Jacket (Similar) / Bag / Boots (they don't have this exact color but similar ones!)
Necklace (Similar here and here (only $7))

Finally!!! A new outfit post! It's been more than a few weeks since I last posted an outfit because not only was it difficult to get out and take some photos, but I was also a little unmotivated by my ability to take my pictures alone.

Most of you probably don't know that I usually take my photos on my own with a tripod and a remote! So it's just me and the camera-- which can actually be pretty lackluster.  I found that my poses were all the same and the creativity behind the shots was fading.

So I decided to do something a little outside of my comfort zone-- have someone else take my photos! I contacted Taylor from Dallas Style Blog to take my photos and she did an amazing job! I was a little nervous before I went to get the photos taken because I didn't know what it would be like, but Taylor is incredibly nice and directed me on a lot of new poses.  It was nice to have someone taking my photos who was a confident photographer and knew what to do.  I've definitely found some new much needed inspiration from being able to work with someone else on my blog content!

This outfit is one of my favorites for this time of year because it's great for the not cold, but also not hot weather that I really loathe.  I hate that now when I walk to class in the mornings it's very cold, but when I am walking back to class it's almost too hot.  It makes it just really hard to dress!

Layers are the answer, so this light cotton dress is perfect because it's comfy but goes well with the denim jacket.  I also love that I can still wear my winter-loved Stuart Weitzman boots with a dress in the transition to Spring.
