Miami Recap

As I write this, I'm sitting by a fire trying to escape the cold, which is completely the opposite from what I was doing just a few days ago in Miami. For spring break, a few of my friends and I spent five days in Miami and I absolutely fell in love with the city.  I would say that Miami has made its way into my top three US cities, behind New York and Dallas.

We stayed at the Fontainebleau, which was a huge hotel with a lot going out so it was really fun to be there.  However, if I ever go back to Miami, I would love to stay at The Confidante (the keys have a banana print on them and if that doesn't explain why I want to stay there I don't know what will!). Our hotel had a huge pool area and easy beach access.

Going to Wynwood Walls has always been on my bucket list, so a few of my friends and I took the time one morning to check it out. Y'all it was so cool! I wish I could've spent more time there exploring each and every building because the colors and murals were so beautiful.  While we were in the area, we stopped to have lunch at Wynwood Bar + Kitchen and it was so delicious!

One night, we went to Barton G, one of the coolest restaurants I've been too in my life.  The restaurant itself is very nice and ordinary, but the dishes they bring are absolutely crazy.  I ordered a margarita and it came on a board with a light up cactus and pinata! My friend and I also split lobster pop tarts (omg, yum) and they came in a toaster! Some of the dishes from the tables around us came with giant guitars, life-size dog statues, and just about the craziest platings you could imagine.  I would recommend searching Barton G on instagram if you want to be entertained!

For brunch, we went to The Continental and it was so so good!! I loved how art deco it was and the food was so good too! They had a whole wall lined with a palm printed curtain, so of course we had to snap a few pictures! Go for the aesthetic, stay for the food haha! Seriously though, this place was dreamy.
